Collector Harry Metcalfe has a disgustingly awesome car collection to say the least. Within this collection, he owns the Triple Crown of ’80s European supercars with an ’87 Lamborghini Countach, an ’87 Ferrari Testarossa and an ’89 Porsche 911 Turbo (also known internally as the Porsche 930).
The 911 turbo took a true sports car enthusiast to handle, considering the car had no power steering, floor-mounted pedals, weirdly placed controls and ton of turbo lag. That turbo lag which would kick in at 3,000 RPM, is what made this car a legend. Many men tried to tame the beast but instead got smacked to a tree alongside the road. They didn’t call this car the ‘widow-maker’ for nothing . But with that toughness came a jewel though, and the Porsche holds a special part in Metcalfe’s heart.
