Were you saving up for the Porsche 918 Spyder supercar? Well forget about it, the last one has just rolled off the assembly line this week. Porsche always said they would only produce an exact number of these cars and the last one was just made. Now if you want to buy one, you have to save up more money and wait for an original owner to sell his/hers.
The Porsche 918 Spyder is definitely the most advanced sports car Porsche has ever made. Everything they showed in the original auto show has come to life and was sale for way less then its supercar peers like the LaFerrari and McLaren P1. But the Porsche 918 Spyder had nothing short from those guys. It had 887 hp from a hybrid electric/gas engine. It could do 0-60 in just 2.8 secs and hit a top speed of 214 mpg. It also killed it at Nurburgring – posting the fastes time every by a Porsche or any sports car.
So if you wanted one, just go cry a river. If you never dreamed of owning the Porsche 918 Spyder, don’t worry. All the super tech and advancements will slowly trickle down to the basic Porsche sport cars like the Porsche 911 and Cayman. That happened 30 years ago when the Porsche 959 came out with all their advancements and 20 years later a modern mass produced version of that car came out in the Porsche (996) 911 Turbo sold from 2001-2005 in the USA.
